Requirements: macOS 13 or later on an Apple silicon or Intel Mac. No external purchase link is active; App Store purchase and restore will be handled in the native app.

Privacy

Your files never leave your Mac.

Mac Storage Intelligence processes selected storage locally. It does not require an account, upload files, run a cloud scan, include tracking, or include an advertising SDK.

What is used

Selected paths, file metadata, exact byte counts, and risk decisions are read from locations you choose so the app can show scan results and reviewable cleanup suggestions.

What is retained

Selected scan history and security-scoped bookmarks may remain in the app’s local storage so you can compare scans or return to a selected location. File contents are not retained for diagnostics.

What leaves the Mac

Nothing from the scan is uploaded. Account data, advertising identifiers, cloud copies, and product telemetry are not collected by default. Diagnostics are off by default, local-only, and do not include file contents or selected paths.

Security posture

Scoped access, explainable actions.

The native app runs in the macOS App Sandbox and requests read/write access only to folders or volumes you select. It has no network, login, privileged helper, or Full Disk Access requirement.

Permission boundary

Security-scoped bookmarks are used only to return to locations you selected. Denial, cancellation, missing volumes, and stale access are treated as recoverable states.

Cleanup boundary

Recommendations show the path, exact bytes, risk, reason, and destination before confirmation. Eligible cleanup goes to Trash; protected, uncertain, and direct-delete actions are excluded.

Email support@storageintelligence.app with a concise description and safe contact details. Do not include file contents, credentials, or private data.

Accessibility

A native interface you can navigate and hear.

The macOS app is built with SwiftUI and is designed for keyboard navigation, VoiceOver, visible focus, and reduced motion.

Keyboard and focus

Sidebar groups support arrow-key navigation and Return or Space activation. Interactive tiles retain a visible focus ring.

VoiceOver and status

Storage tiles expose their name, exact bytes, and reclaimability. Scan states provide a textual title and message rather than relying on color alone.

Visual preferences

Risk and size are not conveyed by color alone, and decorative motion is disabled when reduced motion is requested. If a control is difficult to use, contact support with the view and action involved.

This companion describes the intended product terms for Mac Storage Intelligence. The app is a local utility, not a guarantee that every file can be removed or that any particular amount of space can be recovered.

Your responsibility

You choose the folders or volumes to inspect and remain responsible for reviewing paths, reasons, and risk before confirming an action. Protected, uncertain, and system-managed content is not an automatic cleanup target.

Reversible actions

Eligible confirmed cleanup moves items to Trash first. The app does not promise risk-free cleanup, silent deletion, or recovery of every reclaimable byte.

Service boundary

The product does not provide cloud administration, an account service, or professional data-recovery advice. Features and availability may change as the native app is prepared for distribution.

Billing & refunds

The App Store handles payment.

When Pro is available, purchase and restore will use the App Store. Mac Storage Intelligence does not collect payment details or process refunds itself.

One-time access

Pro is planned as one lifetime purchase, not a recurring subscription. The final price, availability, and purchase terms are shown by the App Store before purchase.

Restore

Use Restore Purchases in the native app to check the current App Store entitlement on another install.

Billing or refund help

For charges, billing records, cancellations, or refund requests, use Apple’s App Store support because Apple handles the transaction. No external checkout link is active here.
